Project Details
Wymondham Abbey is one of the most impressive religious buildings in East Anglia, a magnificent Norman church originally established in 1107.
A prominent local landmark, Wymondham Abbey has been at the heart of Christian worship for over 900 years, a reminder of the town’s long and illustrious history. Today the Abbey continues to be a place of prayer and worship within the local community. It also hosts many events and activities, including concerts, historic tours, education and learning sessions, and exhibitions. It welcomes around 20,000 visitors each year, including visitors from overseas.
Wymondham Abbey had an existing website that was somewhat dated and fell well short of doing justice to the scale and historic importance of the building.
Clarity Digital was asked to design and build an impressive new website that reflected the Abbey’s rich history, re-affirming its important role as a place of ‘welcome, worship and wonder’.
In designing the new website we adopted the client’s existing brand colours throughout, creating a site that was image-driven and full of engaging content. We were fortunate that Wymondham Abbey has such a big story to tell, as this provided us with a huge amount of copy to set out across the site.
Our design included latest news, service and opening times, an historic timeline, events calendar, document library, visitor information, enquiry forms, and much more .
Clarity’s scope also included managed website hosting.
